Geely-owned Zeekr has revealed its flagship luxury SUV, the 9X, at the Shanghai Auto Show. This model aims to compete with the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, but at a much lower price point. The Zeekr 9X is the brand’s first plug-in hybrid model and is scheduled for a global launch in Q3 2025.
Featuring CATL’s Xiaoyao battery, the 9X offers an impressive all-electric range of 380km (236 miles), making it one of the longest in the world for a hybrid model. With a quick acceleration of 0-100km/h (0-60 mph) in just 3 seconds, the 9X is on par with sports cars like the Lamborghini Aventador.
The Zeekr 9X showcases a design inspired by the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, with intricate details like laser-engraved lamp facets creating a unique “starry sky” effect. Additionally, the SUV introduces Zeekr’s advanced G-Pilot H9 autonomous driving system, setting a new benchmark for hybrid electrified performance.
While the pricing for the Zeekr 9X has not been officially announced, estimates suggest it will fall between ¥500k ($68,000) and ¥1m ($136,000). This luxury SUV is expected to target customers looking for a high-end vehicle without the hefty price tag of competitors like Rolls-Royce and Maybach.
