On May 6th, the World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso successfully defended his title against Seth Rollins in the main event of WWE Raw. Uso agreed to the match after a discussion with Rollins’ new manager, Paul Heyman, who referred to himself as The Wiseman. Rollins, along with Heyman and Bron Breakker, has formed a new group following his victories over Roman Reigns and CM Punk at WrestleMania 41.
Heyman informed Uso that Rollins was open to facing him at any time and place. Unfazed by challengers, Uso chose Raw as the ideal setting. The championship match between Uso and Rollins was fiercely competitive, with Breakker and Heyman by Rollins’ side.
During the match, Rollins skillfully countered Uso’s Spear into a Pedigree, coming close to victory. However, Uso’s friend Sami Zayn intervened to even the odds by taking out Breakker. Despite the temporary setback, Breakker recovered and managed to incapacitate Zayn and Uso with a Spear, helped by Heyman’s distraction of the referee.
Rollins then executed a Stomp on Uso, appearing on the verge of winning the World Heavyweight Championship until a surprise entrance by CM Punk, who attacked Rollins with a steel chair, leading to a disqualification. Consequently, Uso retained his title as the World Heavyweight Champion.
After the conclusion of Raw, Uso was assaulted by Logan Paul, who also has aspirations of claiming the World Heavyweight Championship.
