WorldPride 2025 hosts 50th Anniversary Capital Pride event

Thousands gathered in Washington, D.C., to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Capital Pride Parade on Saturday, coinciding with the WorldPride LGBTQ+ festivities. The weekend event featured a music festival with performances by artists like Jennifer Lopez. Lopez expressed her gratitude to the crowd for their continuous support and love during her appearance on Friday night. The parade, which included a 300-member choir and volunteers carrying a massive rainbow flag, lasted for six hours and attracted a diverse group of spectators along the route. The WorldPride celebration, which began on May 17, will conclude on Sunday with a rally and march from the Lincoln Memorial to the U.S. Capitol.
