LOS ANGELES — Wink Martindale, the friendly host of popular game shows like “Gambit” and “Tic-Tac-Dough” who conducted one of the earliest television interviews with a young Elvis Presley, has passed away at the age of 91. Martindale died at Eisenhower Health in Rancho Mirage, California, after battling lymphoma for a year, as confirmed by his publicist Brian Mayes. “Gambit” and “Tic-Tac-Dough” were just a few of the many shows Martindale hosted during his extensive career in radio and television.
