Game show host Wink Martindale, known for his work on popular shows like ‘Gambit,’ ‘High Rollers,’ and ‘Trivial Pursuit,’ has passed away at the age of 91. Martindale, who had a long and successful career spanning 74 years, was also a renowned rock ‘n’ roll disc jockey and a close friend of Elvis Presley. He explained that his unique first name, Wink, originated from childhood nicknaming. Born in 1933 in Jackson, Tennessee, Martindale began his radio career at a young age and went on to host numerous game shows, earning a reputation as one of the best in the business. He is survived by his wife, Sandy, his sister Geraldine, daughters Lisa, Lyn, and Laura, and an ‘honorary’ son Eric. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.
