Whitewater’s Barnes named Class 3A AD of the Year

Whitewater High’s Jason Barnes has been named the Athletic Director of the Year for Region 2-AAA and the AAA Classification by the Georgia Athletic Directors Association (GADA) during their annual leadership conference. Barnes, who has been serving as Athletic Director and Assistant Principal at Whitewater High for six years, has overseen the expansion of the school’s sports program to include flag football, bass fishing, girls wrestling, and a competitive dance team. Under his leadership, Whitewater has achieved notable success with multiple region championships, numerous GHSA state playoff appearances, as well as state runner-up and championship titles in various sports. This recognition underscores Barnes’ commitment to the growth and accomplishments of Wildcat athletics.
