“Disability Visibility: First-Person Stories from the Twenty-first Century” edited by Alice Wong is the top book I suggest for learning about living with a disability. It showcases the diverse experiences of disabled individuals and the challenges they encounter daily.

“Ask Me About My Uterus: A Quest to Make Doctors Believe Women’s Pain” by Abby Norman explores the struggles of individuals with endometriosis and the medical disbelief surrounding women’s pain.

“Sex with a Brain Injury: On Concussion and Recovery” by Annie Liontas offers insights into the impact of brain injuries on overall health, based on Liontas’s personal experience with concussions.

The cozy genre has gained popularity, spanning cozy mysteries, cozy horror, and even cozy science fiction and fantasy. These genres create a charming atmosphere with rich settings and engaging stories with lower stakes.
