Vietnam: The My Lai Massacre Revisited – CBS News Archive
CBS News revisited the My Lai massacre in Vietnam in 2004, interviewing Larry Colburn and Hugh Thompson, members of a US helicopter crew recognized for saving Vietnamese civilians during the tragic event in 1968. Over 500 unarmed civilians lost their lives in the massacre. Colburn and Thompson’s return to Vietnam in 1998 with 60 Minutes allowed them to reunite with some of the individuals they had rescued in My Lai.
