UK firm lands multi-year ultra-deepwater weld inspection contract in Brazil

UK-based company TSC Subsea has won a long-term contract in Brazil for the subsea phased array inspection of welds on rigid subsea pipelines. The contract, lasting from 2025 to 2027, will involve utilizing phased array ultrasonics designed for deepwater conditions to inspect welds at depths of up to 3,000 meters. This technology, recognized for its crack detection capabilities, has been integrated into TSC Subsea’s robotic systems for non-destructive testing of crucial subsea assets. The company’s Sales Manager, David Melo, expressed confidence in their NDT solution and highlighted the importance of providing reliable and efficient weld inspection services that meet industry standards.
