An investigation is underway into a fatal plane crash involving a single-engine aircraft that struck an interstate median wall on I-285 in Doraville, Georgia, in 2015. The crash resulted in the deaths of four individuals on board the Piper PA-32 plane, but fortunately, no motorists passing by were harmed. Recently, the same model aircraft crashed into Long Island Sound, but this time, two individuals were rescued and are in stable condition. The FAA and U.S. Coast Guard responded to the incident near Tweed New Haven Airport in Connecticut. The Coast Guard deployed a rescue boat from New Haven to assist the passengers, who were later taken to Stony Creek Pier in Branford. The FAA is currently investigating the crash.
