Trumpsays he will call Putin, Zelenskyy, and NATO members on Monday to talk ceasefire, trade

Donald Trump, the U.S. President, made plans to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy separately on Monday to try and achieve a ceasefire. In a post on Truth Social on Saturday, Trump stated that he would talk with Putin about stopping the violence that is causing casualties among Russian and Ukrainian soldiers and discuss trade. Following this call, he would also talk to Zelenskyy and NATO members with hopes of a productive day leading to a ceasefire and an end to the ongoing war. Trump expressed his frustration with the peace talks between Russia and Ukraine and indicated that he was taking steps to resolve the conflict. He had previously mentioned that ending the war between Russia and Ukraine would be achievable in a short time frame. Trump has recently criticized both sides involved in the conflict, blaming Zelenskyy for complicating the situation with inflammatory statements and Putin for unnecessary and poorly timed strikes on Ukraine.
