Vietnam’s Prime Minister and Eric Trump, son of President Donald Trump, participated in a ceremony on Wednesday to mark the beginning of a $1.5 billion luxury residential development in Hung Yen, Vietnam. The project will feature three 18-hole golf courses and is located outside of Hanoi, the capital city.
Last week, the Trump Organization, in collaboration with local partners, received approval from Vietnamese Communist authorities for the project. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed that Eric Trump’s visit has accelerated the project and called on local authorities to offer full support for the completion of the 2,446-acre resort.
Eric Trump is also scheduled to meet with officials in Ho Chi Minh City to discuss potential plans for a skyscraper in the southern business hub of Vietnam. The collaboration aims to develop high-end hotels, golf courses, and luxurious residential estates in Vietnam.
Amid negotiations over tariffs between Vietnam and the US, Vietnamese trade negotiators are currently in Washington discussing potential compromises. The project in Hung Yen swiftly obtained approvals from local authorities and is part of the Trump Organization’s portfolio of luxury golf developments worldwide.
