Trump fires head of Copyright Office after firing Librarian of Congress

Shira Perlmutter, who was leading the U.S. Copyright Office, was dismissed by the Trump administration shortly after removing the Librarian of Congress, Carla Hayden. A spokesperson from the Copyright Office verified on Sunday that the White House had informed Perlmutter via email on Saturday about her termination as the Register of Copyrights and Director.
