Trump dines with major donors during $1 million-a-plate fundraiser at Virginia golf course

President Trump had a meal with significant donors at his golf course in Northern Virginia on Thursday. This is the same location where he will be having a meal with the top holders of his memecoin next month. To attend the fundraiser for You Inc., a pro-Trump super PAC, reports suggest that the starting price was $1 million. Donors who contributed at least $5 million were said to receive “host” status within the political group. There are no immediate details available about what took place at the dinner, as White House pool reporters were not present at the event.

Trump has previously participated in MAGA Inc. fundraisers at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida on April 4 and March 1. The group has raised over $400 million to support Trump’s potential 2024 White House run. Records from the Federal Election Commission regarding the group’s 2025 fundraising totals have not been released yet. The dinner on Thursday was conducted at the Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia, which is located around 25 miles from the White House. The president traveled by helicopter to a nearby executive airport before proceeding to the golf course in a motorcade. It is anticipated that Trump will return to his golf course by the Potomac River next month for a dinner with the owners of his memecoin token.

Those attending the MAGA Inc. fundraiser paid a minimum of $1 million. An announcement on the Trump coin website stated, “If you are one of the Top 220 $TRUMP holders, you’ll receive an invitation with details to confirm your attendance at the Gala Dinner.” The announcement further invited individuals to join President Trump on May 22, 2025, at his private Trump National Golf Club in Washington, D.C. for a unique evening to learn about the future of Crypto. The website clarified that Trump would be a guest at the dinner and would not be seeking any funds from it.

Trump’s memecoin was introduced in January 2025. The top 25 Trump memecoin owners will also have the opportunity to attend an “ultra-exclusive private VIP reception” with the president. A post from the TrumpMeme X account mentioned that user Sun held the top spot on the leaderboard with 1,176,803 $TRUMP (valued at $14 million), while user HAR was at #220 with only 35.3 $TRUMP (valued at $420). CIC Digital LLC, an affiliate of The Trump Organization, and Fight Fight Fight LLC collectively own 80% of the digital currency. The coin was launched shortly before the president’s inauguration on January 20.
