TransNusa Increases Scheduled Flight Frequency to Singapore

JAKARTA, Apr 24, 2025 – (ACN Newswire) – PT TransNusa Aviation Mandiri, South East Asia’s first premium service airline, is expanding its presence in Singapore. They are now offering two daily flights for the Jakarta – Singapore route starting today. This move follows their recent launch of scheduled flights to Perth from Bali.

TransNusa’s CEO, Datuk Bernard Francis, mentioned plans to enhance the airline’s network connectivity this year. To kickstart this, they introduced a second daily flight to Singapore today. The new flight, 8B 153, departed Soekarno – Hatta International Airport at 12.10pm and arrived at Singapore Changi Airport at 14.40pm. Additionally, flight 8B 154 departed Changi Airport at 15.30pm and landed in Jakarta at 16.20pm.

Datuk Bernard confirmed that TransNusa will continue operating its current scheduled flights for the Jakarta – Singapore route. The airline has achieved significant milestones under the leadership of Datuk Bernard Francis, attributing their success to a tailored business model and experienced management team.

TransNusa offers premium services on international flights with competitive ticket prices. They provide various product bundles like SEAT, SEAT-PLUS, and FLEXI-PRO, offering perks such as baggage allowance, seat selection, free meals, and more. The airline aims to ensure passenger comfort by configuring their A320s for spacious legroom and affordable ticket prices, starting from SGD52 (USD40) for the Jakarta – Singapore route.

TransNusa faced challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic, leading to a temporary closure in 2020. However, with new shareholders and management, the airline resumed operations in 2022 with a focus on premium service offerings. Since then, they have expanded their routes, achieving growth in both domestic and international markets.

Established in 2005, TransNusa initially provided chartered flights before transitioning to commercial operations in 2011. After rebranding as a premium service airline in 2023, the airline has seen significant growth and is now a prominent player in the aviation industry.
