Signo Hospitality GmbH recently celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the upcoming Hampton by Hilton in Potsdam-Babelsberg. The new hotel will have convenient access from BER Airport and Berlin Central Station. Managed by Sascha Konter, the project aims to merge contemporary comfort with affordability in the UNESCO World Heritage city. Scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2025, the hotel will offer 168 rooms, a restaurant, bar, lounge, conference room, fitness area, and parking on a 7,000-square-meter plot.

“We are making a significant step in modern, high-quality hospitality in collaboration with the owner, Ahornplatz Babelsberg GmbH, and the well-known Hampton by Hilton brand on the premises between Großbeerenstraße, Ahornstraße, and Wetzlarer Straße,” said Sascha Konter, Managing Director at Signo Hospitality. “In close proximity to the world’s oldest major film studio and Europe’s largest film studio complex, we are creating a place for inspiration and rejuvenation with a high degree of living comfort at a reasonable price.”

Situated across from the Babelsberg Film Park and Metropolit Hall on the future Ahornplatz, the Hampton by Hilton will cater to both leisure and business travelers.

“The selection of Hampton by Hilton for Potsdam-Babelsberg underscores the appeal of the location as well as our tenant and operator strategy,” remarked Sascha Konter, Managing Director at Signo Hospitality.

The hotel has placed a strong focus on sustainability by utilizing geothermal and photovoltaic energy to provide green energy to the property. Additionally, an anti-waste strategy has been integrated into the hotel’s restaurant as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative.
