The royal dogs are treated to a luxurious dining experience.

Queen Elizabeth’s 70-year reign in England has been nothing short of iconic. Her distinctive black handbag and well-known aversion to garlic have contributed to her image. However, nothing symbolizes the Queen more than her affection for corgis.

Throughout her life, Queen Elizabeth had over 30 corgis as companions. Her first corgi, Susan, received on her 18th birthday, holds such significance that she has her own Wikipedia page. This deep love for corgis led the Queen to ensure they were well-fed with a royal diet.

While some pet owners may occasionally enhance their dogs’ meals with broth or vegetables, the cuisine enjoyed by these royal dogs was on another level. They had a designated royal menu consisting of beef, chicken, lamb, and rabbit, each served on a rotating basis. Their meals were meticulously prepared, with the meat poached, bones removed, and diced into small pieces. In case of illness, dogs would be fed cabbage or rice for digestive aid.

Former royal chef Darren McGrady revealed that Queen Elizabeth herself would feed the dogs after her afternoon tea. McGrady also shared an interesting tidbit about Prince William and Prince Harry hunting rabbits on the Windsor Estate, with the rabbits later prepared for the royal dogs. This farm-to-table approach showcased a unique aspect of the royal pets’ diet.

The Queen’s dedication to her corgis’ well-being and her meticulous approach to their meals exemplify her love for her furry companions.
