This variation of Teddy Grahams isn’t just for children.

If you’ve been active on social media lately, you’ve likely come across the Teddy Grahams shaken espresso in some form. This Starbucks off-menu beverage has become a sensation on TikTok, and those who have tried it seem to adore it.
As someone who tends to be reserved, I’m usually hesitant to request anything unusual at Starbucks. At times, I shy away from ordering what I truly desire out of fear that the barista might become annoyed with me. However, a shaken espresso that also reminds you of the most adorable childhood snack? I knew I had to conquer my Starbucks apprehensions for this one.
How to Request a Teddy Grahams Shaken Espresso
There are numerous variations of this beverage, and I’m not sure which one is considered the original. Many recipes I came across suggested using four or more pumps of sweeteners. Preferring to savor the coffee rather than the syrup, I opted for a recipe shared by a Starbucks employee and TikTok creator, @GrahamCracker888.
Here’s how I ordered mine:
– Grande brown sugar shaken espresso with blonde espresso
– Oat milk
– Pump of honey blend
– Vanilla sweet cream cold foam
– Sprinkle of cinnamon
Since this version was based on the Starbucks Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso, I had a feeling I would enjoy this Teddy Grahams twist. Anything with brown sugar in it is a winner for me (hello, Brown Sugar Cinnamon Cortado).
Initially, it didn’t exactly taste like the Teddy Grahams I remember snacking on after school until I thoroughly mixed in the cinnamon. Even then, the espresso gave it a more bitter touch compared to the actual snack. However, I found that I actually liked it that way! If I’m having a sweetened espresso drink, I still want to taste the espresso.
A solid 10/10, definitely would order again.
Tips for Ordering Off-Menu Drinks
To be frank, this was my first experience ordering from a secret menu. I went prepared with notes on my phone’s notepad and read them directly to the barista. This approach felt more comfortable than inquiring about a “Teddy Grahams shaken espresso.”
Remember, the secret menu is unofficial, and baristas are already hustling to fulfill orders swiftly. If you want to try this beverage, bring a list of the ingredients or order through the app. This method makes customizing your drink easier and ensures it’s ready for pick-up when you arrive at the store.
