In a new partnership, Sungrow, a Chinese inverter provider, has signed a deal with Juniper Green Energy, an Indian independent power producer, to supply 835MW of inverters. The agreement entails Sungrow providing its SG320HX-20 string inverters and SG4400UD-20 central inverters to Juniper. These inverters are known for their high efficiency and power tracking features. The aim of this collaboration is to assist Juniper in reaching its goal of achieving 10GW of solar capacity by 2030.

Furthermore, Juniper plans to deploy these inverters in key solar project sites in Maharashtra and Rajasthan. Sunil Badesra, the country head for Sungrow India, expressed confidence in Sungrow’s ability to deliver at scale. The deployment of advanced inverter solutions in strategic solar projects is expected to enhance grid stability and energy efficiency in India. Recently, Juniper completed a 100MW solar project in Rajasthan to supply power to Bhutan, diversifying the country’s energy mix.

Juniper Green Energy, established in 2010, currently operates seven solar projects in India with a total capacity of 1.03GW. This partnership with Sungrow is seen as a significant step towards achieving their renewable energy goals.
