If you are looking for a discounted Subaru, time is running out. Prices on certain models and trims are set to rise starting in June. Subaru America informed Reuters yesterday that the price hikes are a result of current market conditions. Depending on the model and trim, prices will go up by $750 to $2,055, as per a dealer notice uncovered by Reuters.
The automaker emphasized that the pricing adjustments are not influenced by the country of origin. An online forum post related to Subaru XV, which has apparently been removed, detailed the potential price increases, with only one model, the Single, escaping unaltered.
Among the impacted models, the BRZ and WRX now cost $2,000 more, while the Ascent will see the most substantial increase, up to $2,055. The Crosstrek and Impreza will go up by $750, whereas the Outback will be $1,715 to $1,820 pricier. The Legacy will receive a $1,600 price bump.
When questioned about the price hikes, Subaru reiterated similar reasoning for the adjustments, stating that the changes were made to counter rising costs while providing a good value to customers, with pricing unaffected by the product’s country of origin.
While Subaru did not directly attribute the price increases to the tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump in March, other automakers have also raised prices for similar reasons. Ford recently announced an increase in the Maverick’s price due in part to the tariffs. Ferrari, Aston Martin, and General Motors have also adjusted prices or made statements regarding the impact of the tariffs.
It seems likely that Subaru is not the only automaker planning to adjust prices this year.
