Quentin Lake, a standout player for the Los Angeles Rams, has some advice for Shedeur Sanders. Given their similar experiences during the NFL draft, Deion’s son should heed his words.
The 26-year-old defensive back gave a motivational speech to Sanders ahead of his first professional practice with the Cleveland Browns. Lake emphasized that success is possible as a late-round pick with a famous father, drawing from his own journey as a sixth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Despite his draft position, Lake became a team captain and a top player.
Lake expressed confidence in Sanders, acknowledging his impressive performances at Jackson State and Colorado. He believes that Sanders, who has consistently defied expectations, has the potential to excel in the NFL.
While Lake plans to keep an eye on Sanders during his upcoming workout, he also has his own commitments. The Rams are heading to Hawaii for a mini-camp, but Lake intends to host a workout for kids at his high school alma mater, Mater Dei, in July.
