Sean Combs Had “Devilish” Look After Hotel Assault, Witness Tells Court

During a sex trafficking trial, a hotel security guard testified that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs had a sinister look and offered him money on the day he allegedly attacked his ex-girlfriend in 2016. The investigation into Combs was triggered by a lawsuit from his ex-partner Cassie in 2023, accusing him of physical abuse and rape. The trial unveiled CCTV footage of Combs assaulting Cassie, leading to his admission of wrongdoing in a video statement on Instagram.

The trial commenced with jury selection last week, and on Monday, the jury was finalized. The first witness, Israel Florez, testified about encountering Combs at the InterContinental Hotel during the 2016 incident. Florez described Combs’ demeanor as sinister and mentioned an attempt by Combs to offer him money, which Florez interpreted as a bribe.

Following the incident, Combs was arrested in September on charges of racketeering, drugging, and coercing women into sexual activities. If found guilty, he could face life imprisonment. Several victims have accused Combs of sexual abuse, with some alleging they were minors at the time of the assaults. The trial is not televised due to a ban on electronic media in federal criminal courtrooms to ensure a fair trial for the defendant.
