Samantha’s Outings Acquires First Transportation Van to Expand Services for Young Adults with Special Needs

Cardiff, California, May 18, 2025 – Following the conclusion of the school year, many support services for individuals with special needs come to an end, leaving families with uncertainty about the future. Samantha’s Outings, a nonprofit based in San Diego, is addressing this crucial gap by announcing the acquisition of their first transportation van. This marks a significant step in their mission to provide structure, support, and a sense of community to young adults aged 18-55 with special needs.

Founded by Sarah Vasquez, a mother who understands the challenges faced when a child with special needs transitions out of the system, Samantha’s Outings was established to offer companionship and assistance during this often neglected phase of life. In just a year, Sarah has brought together over 150 families through monthly themed gala events featuring dinner, dancing, live music, and peer support, creating a space where families feel acknowledged, supported, and less isolated.
