Roush Nitemare: The Street Truck Ford Is Too Scared to Build

david.cWorld News6 hours ago12 Views

Although pickups are more popular than ever, modern lineups lack street trucks. Automakers have focused on taller designs, but Roush is bridging the gap by introducing a new package that lowers the Ford F-150’s suspension properly.

The kit reduces the pickup’s height by three inches in the front and five inches in the rear. It includes performance coilovers, drop spindles, twin-tube dampers, progressive-rate springs, and an upgraded sway bar. Roush reported that the pickup achieved 0.79gs on a 200-foot circular skid pad and 1.0gs on the track during testing with a SuperCrew XLT.

The package also enhances the truck’s look with a blackout front grille featuring integrated amber lights, hood vents, and a graphics package. It comes with twenty-two-inch black Roush wheels wrapped in 305/40R22 General Tire G-MAX AS07 all-season tires. The interior features custom Raven Black leather with Roush Red Accents, serialized badging, and aluminum pedals. Roush offers three exclusive options for the XLT trim: an Alpine audio upgrade, carbon-fiber interior trim, and a secure center console vault.

Starting at $19,999, the Roush Nitemare package does not include the base vehicle. It is available for regular and SuperCrew cab F-150 XL and XLT pickups. The 2025 F-150 XL regular cab starts at $39,445 (including the $1,995 destination charge), while the F-150 XLT SuperCrew has a starting price of $50,050. Therefore, the minimum cost for a Nitemare is $59,444. Although it may not be as capable as a Raptor, it is more affordable and, in our view, more intriguing.
