The conversation between Shapiro, a Democrat, and Trump, was described as cordial, with the President inquiring about Shapiro’s family and the incident at the residence. The Governor also shared that they discussed various topics during the nearly 20-minute call, including tariffs. Shapiro expressed his hope for Trump to reconsider the tariff plan to boost confidence in investments and alleviate concerns about price increases.
