His wife, former First Lady Jill Biden, supported him by emphasizing that those who wrote negative books about them were not present at the White House to witness Joe’s hard work every day. Biden clarified that his decision to withdraw from the presidential race and support Vice President Kamala Harris was not due to an inability to handle the responsibilities of the presidency but to avoid dividing the Democratic Party. He also criticized President Donald Trump’s initial 100 days in office, accusing him of damaging the country’s reputation globally. Trump, on the other hand, has been targeting Biden, questioning his use of an autopen and suggesting revising the presidential pardons issued to his family members. When asked about Trump’s animosity towards him, Biden simply stated, “I beat him.”
