The NFL has fined the Atlanta Falcons and defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich for their involvement in the Shedeur Sanders draft day prank. The league stated that the team and coach were at fault for allowing confidential information to be leaked.

The Falcons received a $250,000 fine, while Ulbrich was fined an additional $100,000 for failing to prevent the disclosure of confidential information that was shared with the team before the NFL Draft.

During the event, Shedeur Sanders received a fake phone call from someone pretending to be New Orleans Saints owner Mickey Loomis, telling him he would have to wait longer to be picked in the draft.

It was later revealed that Ulbrich’s son, Jax, had obtained a list of prospects’ numbers that was sent to teams before the draft and was seen witnessing the prank call in a video that circulated on social media.

Jax apologized for his involvement, and the Falcons expressed their regret as well, stating that they would cooperate with the league’s investigation into the incident.
