N-Sea’s subsidiary, UXOcontrol based in the Netherlands, is gearing up to start a campaign related to unexploded ordnance (UXO) at an offshore wind farm in the UK in early May. The company has landed a contract to carry out various UXO-related tasks at the wind farm, covering the inter-array area and the export cable route corridor. The campaign will kick off with pUXO identification activities in May, along with surveys for non-ferrous UXO in specific zones. All operations will be conducted aboard the 62-meter-long vessel, N-Sea Pathfinder, continuing until July. Any necessary UXO clearance will be addressed in a separate phase at a later time. N-Sea is currently having a hybrid survey vessel with remotely operated vehicle (ROV) support constructed by Neptune Marine in the Netherlands, with the keel laying ceremony taking place in January. Additionally, N-Sea has recently inked a seven-year agreement with Prysmian Group, an Italian cable company, for quick response maintenance and repair of submarine cables.
