May the Force Be with Us

In April, we were active in serving Fayette County, supporting our Chamber members, and getting ready for future growth. One of the highlights was hosting the monthly Business Power Hour with Jan Lennon from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. We also organized the annual Business Outlook Summit, discussing topics like economic development, film industry status, transportation initiatives, and municipal growth projects. We were thrilled to welcome new businesses to Fayette County with ribbon-cutting ceremonies.

In addition to events, we started working on the Chamber’s next three-year strategic plan and made progress on office renovations and accreditation. The graduation of the 45th Leadership Fayette class marked a significant achievement in our leadership development efforts.

Looking ahead to May, we are excited about the 2026 Leadership Fayette program. Applications are open, and we encourage nominations for rising leaders. This program offers a comprehensive leadership development experience, focusing on community issues and fostering relationships among participants.

We are also preparing for the Inclusive Economics Summit, sponsored by Kaiser Permanente, on June 26 at the Atlanta Airport Marriott Gateway. This summit, a collaboration with the Clayton and Airport Area Chambers, aims to boost economic growth, promote inclusivity, and enhance business opportunities in the region. Industry leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and community representatives will come together to discuss key topics like corporate culture, economic growth, workforce trends, and strategic planning.
