Marriott Hotels has opened the Luxembourg Marriott Hotel Alfa in the city center, marking its debut in Luxembourg and expanding its presence in Europe. The hotel, located near prominent cultural and historical sites like the Casemates du Bock and the Grand Ducal Palace, offers 153 rooms, including 31 suites, along with amenities such as the Greatroom lobby, an executive lounge, a bar, meeting rooms with views of the railway station, and a fitness center.
Marriott has previously launched the Moxy Luxembourg Airport in the country. Brasserie Alfa, situated within the hotel, features a menu influenced by Luxembourgish and French culinary traditions, using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients to offer a blend of classic and modern dishes in a refined yet approachable dining experience suitable for various settings.
Sandra Schulze-Potgieter, Vice President of Premium, Select & Midscale Brand Management for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at Marriott International, expressed excitement about the hotel’s opening, highlighting Luxembourg’s blend of historic charm and modern sophistication. The hotel, originally constructed in 1932 and a listed national monument, has been renovated to preserve its Art Deco heritage while incorporating contemporary artworks by local artists.
