Mariska Hargitay, known for helping others share their stories through her TV show and foundation, is now ready to share her own. The trailer for her documentary “My Mom Jayne,” which focuses on her late mother Jayne Mansfield, premiered on “TODAY” on June 3. This HBO film, the debut project from Hargitay’s production company Mighty Entertainment, was first shown at the Cannes Film Festival in May. The trailer, narrated by Hargitay, delves into her personal journey of understanding her mother, contrasting her own career with Mansfield’s path to stardom. Hargitay reflects on her childhood, growing up without memories of her mother who passed away in a car accident when she was just 3 years old. The documentary also explores her siblings’ experiences and memories of their iconic mother. “My Mom Jayne” will premiere in North America on June 13 at the Tribeca Festival and will be available on HBO on June 27.
