Ligchine Designs New LS120 as Entry-Level Laser-Guided Concrete Screed

david.cWorld News3 hours ago4 Views

Ligchine has introduced a new cost-effective laser-guided concrete boom screed aimed at small contractors. The LS120 model features an operator platform and joystick control for its three-wheel steering and proportional hydraulic drive system. It boasts an 8-foot screed head, a 16-foot boom reach, and weighs 5,000 pounds, making it easily transportable by a ¾-ton pickup and trailer.

The LS120 is powered by a 24.9-horsepower Honda V-Twin gasoline engine and comes equipped with Topcon’s LS-B200 2D laser leveling technology for grade, slope, and dual slope adjustments. For contoured concrete paving, Topcon’s 3D LPS system is also available.

A distinctive feature of the LS120 is its leveling off the wheels instead of stabilizers, allowing for traditional screeding methods. The machine can operate in both parallel and perpendicular to the pour, and its three-wheel steering facilitates movement in confined spaces.

The screed can cover 120 square feet in a single pass and is user-friendly, requiring minimal training to operate. Ligchine, headquartered in Darien, Wisconsin, pronounces its name as “lig-sheen.”

For a demonstration of the LS120 in action, you can view Ligchine’s video online.
