In 2024, Dubai police, known for their patrol fleets, conducted 1,464 mounted patrols and issued 463 traffic fines. The patrols checked individuals, vehicles, and safeguarded sports facilities, enhancing security by navigating narrow areas inaccessible to regular vehicles. These units collaborate with other police patrols to reassure the public. Despite Dubai Police’s luxury fleet, including expensive cars, they continue mounted patrols in various areas like commercial districts and tourist spots. Additionally, they secured 38 matches through their proactive approach last year. Major General Dr. Expert Mohammed Issa Al Adhab, the Director of the Mounted Police Station, emphasized the crucial role of mounted patrols in boosting community security and safety, working together with other police units to instill public confidence and form a crucial part of Dubai’s security framework.
