Judge gives Trump administration one week to file answers about Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s illegal deportation

A federal judge in Maryland granted the Trump administration’s request to delay answering questions about the illegal deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia. The judge, Paula Xinis, reviewed the requests from both parties and gave the administration until April 30 to file discovery in the case. This decision came after Xinis accused the administration of trying to avoid revealing details about Abrego Garcia’s deportation to El Salvador. The Trump administration admitted it mistakenly sent Abrego Garcia to El Salvador, where he was detained. Despite efforts to portray him as an MS-13 gang member, the court demanded proof, which the administration has failed to provide. Xinis criticized the administration for noncompliance and obstruction, ordering them to end their evasive tactics and provide the necessary information.
