Jimmy Kimmel Blames Liberals’ ‘Completely Manufactured Outrage’ for Getting Trump Elected

Jimmy Kimmel, a left-leaning late-night comedian on ABC, is attributing Donald Trump’s re-election to the White House to the cancel culture that stifles comedy within liberal circles. In an interview with Rolling Stone, the host of Jimmy Kimmel Live emphasized that the lack of tolerance among liberals played a significant role in Trump’s victory over Kamala Harris last November.

Kimmel expressed his belief that much of the outrage is artificial and that many of those expressing anger may not truly be upset. He criticized liberals for attacking comedians aggressively, suggesting that this contributed to Trump’s presidency. Kimmel argued that comedy should not have clear boundaries and that canceling individuals is not the solution.

While Kimmel criticized Trump as “vindictive” and claimed that Republicans fear him, he acknowledged that Trump’s energy is appealing to some people. He also expressed his disbelief at Americans supporting Trump’s focus on divisive issues like transgender sports, branding Trump and his supporters as indecent and disgusting.

Despite his strong opinions against Trump, Kimmel admitted that Trump’s energy brings a different dynamic compared to other politicians, likening it to the contrast between golf and wrestling. He noted the undeniable energy Trump brings to the room during his speeches.
