CBS News journalist Frank Andrews reported that an Iranian man was executed on charges of spying for Israel’s Mossad and assisting in the assassination of a Revolutionary Guard colonel in Tehran. The man, identified as Mohsen Langarneshin, was accused of providing technical support for the killing and carrying out other activities to aid Mossad operatives in Iran. Langarneshin was reportedly recruited by Mossad in 2020 and worked for them for two years before being arrested and sentenced to death. His family claimed that his confession was coerced, and human rights groups raised concerns about the fairness of his trial. Iran’s Revolutionary Court, known for its harsh punishments, carried out the execution despite these objections.
