Intersolar Europe 2025: smarter E Award winners unveiled, Canadian Solar, Aiko Solar launch new modules

7Secondsolar, Longi Solar, and Weidmüller have been honored with The smarter E AWARD for their innovative contributions to photovoltaic technology. The award was presented by The smarter E Europe, a coalition of energy industry exhibitions in Europe, across categories including PV, Energy Storage, E-Mobility, Smart Integrated Energy, and Outstanding Projects. Each category had three winners, showcasing the diversity of innovations driving the energy transition.

7Secondsolar received recognition in the Photovoltaics category for its cloud-based AUTOPV tool, designed to streamline the planning process for large-scale solar installations by automating layout, cable routing, and system component optimization. LONGi Solar Technology was awarded for its Hi-MO X10 module, which offers high power output and efficiency through innovative design features. Weidmüller Interface was also acknowledged for its PV Inline surge protection device tailored for space-constrained PV installations.

At the Intersolar Europe event in Munich, Canadian Solar introduced its TOPBiHiKu6 series, including the CS6.2-66TB model, featuring advanced TOPCon cell technology for increased efficiency and power output. The company aims to launch the product commercially in August 2025, highlighting its enhanced performance and cost-effectiveness for large-scale solar projects.

Aiko Solar unveiled its NAVIGATOR Intelligent Module, integrating AI technology to optimize energy yield and streamline monitoring and maintenance processes. The system is expected to improve operational efficiency and asset management for solar projects, demonstrating the ongoing innovation in the renewable energy sector.
