POOLER, GEORGIA, Apr 29, 2025 – HydroFleet, Inc. is thrilled to announce the development of a new hydrogen production and refueling station at the upcoming HTWO Energy Savannah site in Pooler, Georgia. This cutting-edge facility represents a significant investment in clean energy and sustainable transportation solutions, with a focus on serving zero-emission FCEV heavy trucks. The investment will greatly improve the region’s clean energy infrastructure, supporting zero-emission heavy-duty trucks, clean energy vehicles for ports and nearby rail, and contributing to a sustainable future.

“Pooler is an excellent location for HydroFleet’s facility due to its proximity to major interstates, the Port of Savannah, and potential fleet customers,” expressed Scott Moe, President and CEO of HydroFleet, showing excitement for the project. “We understand that customers are seeking zero-emission fleets but have faced challenges in sourcing the complete hydrogen ecosystem at a competitive price. Through strategic partnerships and proven, safe technology, HydroFleet addresses this industry challenge. We are eager to collaborate with Pooler to lead the transition to cost-effective, emission-free heavy truck fleets in Georgia and across the U.S.”

HydroFleet’s investment in Pooler is expected to bring significant economic advantages to the area by creating jobs and positioning Pooler and the greater Savannah, GA, region as pioneers in clean energy solutions. The facility will utilize advanced hydrogen production and distribution technology to reduce emissions and noise pollution, contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable future for the community.

“HTWO Energy Savannah represents a breakthrough in hydrogen production and refueling for the heavy-duty trucking industry, enabling zero-emissions trucks to refuel conveniently in the Savannah region,” stated Jim Park, SVP of commercial vehicle and hydrogen fuel cell business at Hyundai Motor North America. “The HTWO Energy Savannah hydrogen station will also support Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) Clean Logistics, allowing our innovative new electric vehicle plant to operate within a clean, zero-emissions ecosystem.”

Jonathan Choi, CEO of HTWO Logistics, added, “HTWO Energy Savannah provides hydrogen fuel for our Hyundai XCIENT hydrogen-powered class 8 truck fleet, offering clean logistics for Hyundai’s new Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America.”

John Porter, CEO of Capital Development Partners, the property owner and project developer, expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with HydroFleet on this groundbreaking project. The hydrogen production station will not only boost the local economy but also establish Pooler as a leader in clean energy solutions, aligning with the commitment to sustainable development shared by both parties.

Seth Greengrass, Director of Origination at Axpo, the global energy contract provider for the project, commented on Axpo’s pride in supporting HydroFleet’s innovative hydrogen production facility. Their expertise in energy trading and risk management ensures a reliable and efficient supply of feedstock, contributing to the success of this environmentally friendly initiative.

HydroFleet worked in partnership with the Savannah Economic Development Authority (SEDA) and the Southeast Hydrogen Energy Alliance (SHEA) in the development of the advanced hydrogen facility, involving comprehensive planning, strategic site selection, meticulous permitting processes, and robust public education initiatives to ensure the project’s success and community involvement.

Legal assistance for the deal was provided by Jennifer Surprenant and Raffael Fiumara, both shareholders of Greenberg Traurig LLP. Lazard, Inc. advised HydroFleet on the project.
