“The Equalizer” has come to an end as CBS decided to cancel the show after five seasons. The series finale aired on Sunday night, with Queen Latifah starring in the primetime thriller. In the final episode, Robyn and Dante go on a romantic getaway, only to be pursued by Salazar who shoots Dante. Robyn is captured but later rescued by her friends. She defeats Salazar in a knife battle and Dante proposes to her before collapsing. Fortunately, Dante recovers in the hospital, and they get engaged.

In the meantime, Robyn’s daughter Delilah discovers a way to get into Harvard, and Aunt Vi plans to move in with the Captain. The finale wraps up on a positive note with Robyn and Dante celebrating their engagement with their loved ones. Showrunner Joe Wilson explained that the episode was designed to serve as both a season and series finale, with plans for a wedding in the next season. “The Equalizer,” a reboot of the 1985 series, first aired in 2021 but saw a decline in viewership in its final season.

Queen Latifah, who also served as an executive producer, expressed her gratitude to the cast, crew, and fans for their support, saying it meant the world to her.
