Hilton has announced its intention to expand its presence in Saudi Arabia by achieving a significant milestone of 100 hotels opened this year. With a focus on growth in the Kingdom, the company currently operates and is developing 14 different brands. Hilton plans to increase its room count by more than 21,000 in various locations across the country.

The company’s expansion efforts in Saudi Arabia involve introducing more of its brands to create a diverse portfolio catering to different traveler preferences. A quarter of the branded hotel rooms under construction in Saudi Arabia are affiliated with Hilton.

As part of its growth strategy, Hilton is introducing its premium economy brand, Spark, to the Middle East with the signing of Spark by Hilton in Makkah. This new brand offers a straightforward design, comfortable accommodations, and complimentary breakfast at an affordable price. The 329-room Spark by Hilton Makkah Aziziyah is set to open later this year.

The addition of Spark by Hilton enhances the company’s midscale presence in Saudi Arabia, complementing existing brands like Hampton by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn, which make up a significant portion of Hilton’s hotel pipeline in the country.

Hilton’s expansion plans in Saudi Arabia also extend to the luxury sector with its renowned brands such as Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, LXR Hotels & Resorts, and Conrad Hotels & Resorts. The company has a multi-property agreement at The Avenues – Riyadh, the Kingdom’s largest mixed-use development, which will host a Waldorf Astoria and a Conrad hotel.

The pipeline of Hilton in Saudi Arabia is expected to generate more than 15,000 job opportunities in its properties, aligning with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 plan. Presently, Hilton operates 20 hotels in the Kingdom, with an additional 77 properties in the pipeline, representing a significant share of branded hotel rooms under construction in the country. This underscores Hilton’s dedication to supporting Saudi Vision 2030 by offering top-notch hospitality services.
