Boynton Beach, FL, May 09, 2025 – The GBDC Entrepreneurship Institute (GBDCEI) has introduced two updated programs: the Young Entrepreneurs Club & Pop-Up Market and the Kid-Preneur Leadership Academy. These dynamic programs aim to highlight and empower the upcoming generation of innovators and leaders. The Young Entrepreneurs Club (ages 16-19) and the Kid-Preneur Leadership Academy (ages 9-15) provide tailored immersive learning opportunities in life skills, financial literacy, leadership, and community involvement.
Both programs reflect GBDCEI’s goal of promoting economic independence, breaking poverty cycles, and nurturing future leaders. Combining experiential learning activities like business planning, mentorship, and engaging initiatives such as the Young Entrepreneurs Pop-Up Market and Kidz-Town (a youth-operated simulated city), participants acquire crucial skills that equip them for sustainable careers, particularly in S.T.E.A.M. fields.
Annette Gray, the Founder of GBDCEI, stated, “Curated immersive summer programs spark curiosity, foster creativity, and empower students to uncover their potential outside the classroom, transforming summer into a season of growth.”
The Kid-Preneur Leadership Academy (Ages 9-15) is designed for middle school students and provides essential skills in critical reading, math, communication, emotional intelligence, life skills, entrepreneurship, and various career paths. By promoting confidence, leadership, and resilience, the program aims to prevent learning setbacks and ensure a seamless transition to high school and career-related excursions.
The Young Entrepreneurs Club & Pop-Up Market (Ages 16-19) focuses on young adults with diverse backgrounds, emphasizing entrepreneurship education, mentorship, practical business development, and life skills training. Participants are involved in research-based business concept development, financial planning, community presentations, and benefit from exposure to industry experts, mentorship, and career-oriented internships. The Pop-Up Market offers real-world experiential learning in entrepreneurship to foster the creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial mindset of future leaders. It celebrates the potential of youth and the transformative impact of education, mentorship, and hands-on experience.
The Summer Session begins on June 9, 2025, running Tuesday through Saturday from 3 PM to 7 PM.
