Mayor Kim Learnard of Peachtree City, Georgia, received Councilman Frank Destadio’s formal resignation from Post 4 on May 5, 2025. Destadio cited health concerns for his decision to step down. The City Council will officially declare the seat vacant during their upcoming work session on May 8, 2025.
Councilman Destadio, a proud U.S. Air Force veteran, has served the Peachtree City community for many years. He joined the Peachtree City Planning Commission in 2010 and held the position for 11 years, including seven years as Chairman. Elected to represent Post 4 in 2021, Destadio focused on supporting military veterans during his time on the Council.
Recognized for his commitment to fairness, transparency, and good governance, Destadio aimed to improve City Council operations while upholding values of honesty, integrity, and clear communication. The Council acknowledges his contributions to planning, policy, and community service. The Council will assess the need to fill the vacant position, which expires on December 31, 2025.
