Encarnación-Strand promotes triumph 4-3 of the Reds over Diamondbacks in the tenth entrance

Encarnacion-Strand hit a home run in the sixth inning to tie the game before it was postponed on Friday. He then delivered a decisive double in the tenth inning on Saturday. This win marked the Reds’ first extra-innings victory of the season and Encarnacion-Strand’s return to the game after being sidelined due to injury since April 17.

Encarnacion-Strand’s solo homer in the sixth inning leveled the score at 3-3, with Cristian Mena pitching. Ketel Marte and Geraldo Perdomo hit home runs for the Diamondbacks earlier in the game, giving them a 3-0 lead before TJ Friedl’s two-run homer brought the Reds within one run. Tony Santillan claimed the win for the Reds by pitching a scoreless tenth inning.

In addition to Encarnacion-Strand’s heroics, Ketel Marte and Geraldo Perdomo contributed for the Diamondbacks, while TJ Friedl and Santiago Espinal made notable appearances for the Reds.

The game was suspended due to rain, and the resumption resulted in Cincinnati’s victory over Arizona.
