Elise Jesse’s Slow-Cooker Ham and Gruyere Quiche

On my phone, I keep a collection of recipes named The Holy Grail List. One of the top recipes is the ham and Gruyere cheese quiche. It only takes 15 minutes to prepare and is a delightful combination of savory ham and nutty sweetness from the cheese. The easy cleanup makes it a great choice, especially when hosting a brunch or breakfast gathering. I hope you enjoy this dish as much as we do! – Elise Jesse from Cincinnati, Ohio

Elise Jesse’s Slow-Cooker Ham and Gruyere Quiche is currently popular.

Ingredients:

– 1 refrigerated pie crust
– 9 large eggs
– 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon pepper
– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
– 1 cup diced ham
– 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese

Instructions:

1. Line a 7-quart slow cooker with parchment paper, ensuring it covers the bottom and sides. Place the unrolled pie crust in the slow cooker, pinching the excess for a neat look.
2. In a large bowl, combine eggs, whipping cream, ham, cheese, salt, pepper, and onion (reserving some cheese for topping). Pour the mixture into the slow cooker.
3. Cover the slow cooker and cook on high for 2 hours until the center is firm.
4. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, cover, and let it melt. Remove the quiche from the slow cooker, place it on a serving dish, and savor it!
