DStv Zimbabwe to Raise Prices in June 2025; Some Packages Unaffected
Subscribers of DStv in Zimbabwe will need to budget a bit more for their subscriptions starting June 1, 2025, as MultiChoice Zimbabwe has officially announced a price adjustment.
In a statement issued on Monday, the broadcaster confirmed that while certain packages will remain unchanged, others will see slight increases ranging between US$1 and US$2.
No Changes for Premium and Lite; Minor Price Adjustments for Other Packages
Good news for high-tier users: the DStv Premium package will stay at US$75 per month, and the Lite bouquet will remain at US$9.
A few mid- and entry-level packages will see a US$1 increase:
Compact Plus will rise from US$45 to US$46
Family will go up from US$20 to US$21
Access will now be priced at US$16, up from US$15
The most significant increase will be for the DStv Compact package, which will rise by US$2, from US$30 to US$32.
Special Interest Packages Maintain Current Prices
Specialized offerings, such as:
Indian Stand Alone (Premium) – US$39
Indian Add-on – US$25
Portuguese Stand Alone – US$45
Portuguese Add-on – US$25
HD PVR Service – US$13, will not see any changes in their prices.
MultiChoice has confirmed that the updated pricing applies to both satellite and streaming services.
The reason for the selective increases was not provided in detail.
