The Los Angeles Dodgers have officially put right-handed pitcher Roki Sasaki on the injured list due to a right shoulder impingement. Taking Sasaki’s place on the active roster is right-handed pitcher J.P. Feyereisen. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts had hinted at Sasaki’s potential IL placement due to arm soreness, and now the rookie pitcher will be sidelined for at least two weeks. Sasaki’s fastball velocity has notably decreased since his debut, and his absence adds to the growing list of injured Dodgers pitchers.

Sasaki is among several Dodgers pitchers currently out, including Shohei Ohtani, Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow, Clayton Kershaw, and others. Kershaw is set to return soon, while Ohtani, Glasnow, and Snell have uncertain timelines for their comebacks. Without Sasaki, Snell, and Glasnow, the Dodgers rotation now relies on Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tony Gonsolin, and Dustin May as key components. Landon Knack may stay with the team, and the Dodgers might look to their minor league system for additional depth, possibly considering Justin Wrobleski or Bobby Miller.
