Diddy’s Inmate Costume From ‘Monster’s Ball’ Up for Auction

Diddy’s prison attire is set to be auctioned off, but not the recent one he wore while in jail last fall. Instead, it is the outfit he wore on set 25 years ago for his role in the movie “Monster’s Ball.” The costume includes a gray hoodie, jeans with one leg cut off, and black shoes.

This ensemble was worn by Diddy’s character, Lawrence Musgrove, in the early scenes of the film before his character meets his demise. The auction for this iconic costume is scheduled to begin on June 7 and is expected to fetch a good price.

The outfit comes with a production costumer’s tag detailing its use in various scenes. The auction house obtained the costume from Star Wares of Los Angeles and also includes a Letter of Provenance. “Monster’s Ball” starred Halle Berry, Billy Bob Thornton, and the late Heath Ledger, with Berry winning an Academy Award for Best Actress.

While Diddy is currently clad in a different attire behind bars for his federal trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges, his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura testified against him earlier this month. Additionally, his former assistant, known as “Mia,” provided her testimony this week.

For those not interested in Diddy memorabilia, GWS Auctions has a variety of other items for sale, such as the mic stand used in the movie “Pulp Fiction” during the iconic dance scene with John Travolta and Uma Thurman. Although Diddy’s actual prison clothes may not be up for sale, GWS offers a close alternative.
