Nigeria Customs Chief Commits to Supporting Made-in-Nigeria Vehicles, FRSC Head Witnesses Crash Test, Dealership Explains Price Difference Between LX 600 and Land Cruiser 300

The head of the Nigeria Customs Service, Adewale Adeniyi, recently inspected vehicles manufactured by members of the Nigeria Automotive Manufacturers Association (NAMA) at the Service’s headquarters in Maitama, Abuja. Following the inspection, he assured that the Customs Service would continue to endorse and back the sector to boost the country’s industrial economy.

Adeniyi expressed satisfaction with the quality of the vehicles, noting their aesthetics and efficiency. He praised the imprint of Nigeria in the vehicles, indicating local assembly. Additionally, he commended President’s policy direction.

Toyota In Nigeria dealership in Abuja clarified why the Lexus LX 600 is priced over ₦100 million higher than the Toyota Land Cruiser 300. The dealership highlighted the LX 600’s premium features such as luxurious leather seats, a large screen, and a high-quality sound system. They recommended the LX 600 for its focus on comfort and technology, while the Land Cruiser 300 is better suited for off-road adventures.

The head of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, and other participants of a Global Road Safety leadership course visited the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) in Virginia to learn about vehicle safety testing. They witnessed a crash test on a 2025 Tesla, assessing its safety features and durability in a crash scenario. This experience provided valuable insights for improving safety designs.
