Correa connects 2 races at 10th, and twins bending 12-6 to sailors

In Seattle, Carlos Correa hit a two-run home run in the tenth inning to help the Minnesota Twins overcome a three-run deficit and defeat the Seattle Mariners 12-6 on Friday. Correa’s home run came off reliever Casey Legumina, and the Twins added four more runs to secure the victory.

Seattle’s closer Andrés Muñoz, who had not given up a run all season, saw his streak end when Willi Castro hit a two-run homer, and Trevor Larnach tied the game with an RBI single. Despite a strong performance by Mariners’ catcher Cal Raleigh, who hit two home runs to reach 21 for the season, Seattle couldn’t hold off Minnesota’s comeback.
