Chinese Professional Snooker Player Rode In A Customized Zeekr 009 Minivan On The Road To Victory

Chinese snooker pro, Zhao Xintong, made history this month by becoming the first Asian to claim victory in the World Snooker Championship. In a thrilling match, he defeated Mark Williams with a score of 18-12 on May 6, 2025. The 28-year-old, known as ‘The Cyclone’, outplayed his opponent, ‘The Welsh Potting Machine’, to secure the prestigious title and a prize of £500,000 ($665,000 USD).

Before his final showdown with Williams, Zhao expressed his excitement, stating that winning the championship was a significant goal for Chinese snooker. Following his triumph, Zhao was driven away from the tournament venue in a customized Zeekr 009 Minivan, a special gift from Zeekr, a Chinese automaker under Geely.

The striking black and green two-tone design of Zhao’s Zeekr 009 features unique exterior art, including a caricature of the snooker champion, snooker balls, and the number “147” symbolizing the highest break in the sport. The minivan is equipped with a 108 kWh 5C Qilin battery-pack from CATL, offering a CLTC range of 702 km (436 miles) and an 800V electrical system with a rapid charging time of 11.5 minutes from 10 to 80 percent.

Zeekr’s Vice President, Zhao Chunlin, expressed his support for Zhao Xintong’s success, emphasizing his journey to victory on the road to the championship.
